New Threads:
Jeffrey sent out a summary of all the new triage features.
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-March/006689.html
+ Auto-triaging for new and imported events
+ Auto-triaging when you change an event from the past to the future
+ Some improvements to how recurring events are triaged. When you
make an event recurring, the first occurrence stay in the same
section of the dashboard until the triage button is pressed.
+ If an event becomes past-due, it does not automatically move to the
DONE section until the user does this manually - currently there is a
bug.
Morgen sent out an email about Adding the filtering checkboxes to the
subscribe dialog.
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-March/006700.html
+ With the new sharing framework we will have the ability to give the
users (publisher or subscriber) control over what fields they choose
to share. Morgen proposes we have 4 checkboxes in the publish/manage
dialog for (alarms, event status, triage status and needs reply).
+ Mimi proposed we add the option to share BCC.
Continued Discussions:
Davor sent a response to the Clarification on error icons.
+ Davor thinks we need two different symbols for sync error vs
conflict since they require a different user action.
+ Mimi responded that users probably don't need to know the
difference between these 2 cases and is leery of adding yet more
icons for the user to have to understand.
Mimi continued the discussion about - PPC versus Intel Mac.
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-March/006703.html
+ She is proposing that we change the language on the download page.
+ OS X (Power PC Processor)
+ OS X (Intel Mac Processor)
Mimi replied to an old mail that Heikki had sent On encrypting
passwords.
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-March/006705.html
+ Some more long term solutions were explored ie: OS Keychain but we
don't really have time to do that for Preview plus we need a cross-
platform solution. Heikki already has something in place.
+ The concensus is to go ahead and add this feature in for Preview.
+ The only outstanding decision is where to add the UI for setting
the master passoword - Accounts dialog or Separate menu item.
Since we have done more than required for Preview, Mimi is proposing
that we consider - Deferring further Auto-triage work
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-March/006709.html
+ Mimi found and logged several bugs but we can simply punt those to
future and see what kind of dogfood feedback we get.
Mimi forwarded a chandler-users list conversation - Remove from
Chandler Dashboard - to the design list asking Davor to detail how he
uses the Dashboard view.
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-March/006725.html
+ Davor responded that he doesn't use this very much but may in the
future once more of the features are built out. He finds the list of
items overwhelming and doesn't quite understand the workflows that
Mimi is envisioning.
Other Stuff:
