Hi Priss,

Thx for writing this up.

Just to clarify: This is a post-Preview proposal.

Question: Is this for Users who wish to Publish to Chandler Server? In which case, I think the first workflow applies to Chandler Hub users as well.

Do we want to have the Publish instructions available from within the Logged-in UI? Do we want to always introduce users to the web app UI? and then from there they can choose between Subscribe with: and Publish to:?

Some other open issues:

+ Will Chandler Server / Hub support publishing to other servers from the Chandler Server web app? If we do that means we have 4 options:
- Subscribe with Chandler Server / Hub
- Subscribe to stuff on Chandler Server / Hub with some other app
- Publish with Chandler Server / Hub
- Publish to Chandler Server / Hub with some other app

We will want to understand what the use cases are around the additional scenarios and drive the product definition from there?

*Use Case One: Users who have downloaded the OSAF bundle*

   1. User signs up for an account, clicks [okay].
2. If e-mail verification is *turned off* from person using the OSAF bundle Instructional message appears: Start using Chandler Server or Set up on an external application to use this account. 3. If user select Start using Chandler Server --> auto log into Chandler (Hub) Web Application from the OSAF Bundle
   4. If user selects: Set up on an external application
   5. Dynamic drop down list appears:

[ Which application? | V ]
    * Chandler Desktop
    * Apple iCal 2.x
    * Feed reader
    * Other…

This will behave similar to the collection details dialog box. The instructions and URLs will appear dynamically on the create an account dialog. A [close] button will also appear in this dialog box.

----
*Use Case Three: Users who have downloaded the OSAF bundle*

1. If e-mail verification is *turned on*, message on dialog displays: 'Almost done! Your account is created but not enabled. You will receive an e-mail shortly with a link to enable your account.' [Close]
   2. User checks e-mail, clicks on the link to verify account
   3. Auto log in to Chandler (Hub) Web Client.
4. User selects external client from the 'Subscribe with…' drop down list.

*Use Case Two: Users who have sign up on Chandler Hub (same as above)*

1. If e-mail verification is *turned on*, message on dialog displays: 'Almost done! Your account is created but not enabled. You will receive an e-mail shortly with a link to enable your account.' [Close]
   2. User checks e-mail, clicks on the link to verify account
   3. Auto log in to Hub.
4. User selects external client from the 'Subscribe with…' drop down list.

*Note:* In all cases the table information about 'setting up a sharing account in an external client' will not appear after signing up for an account with Server.

---
*Questions:*
+ Is there a possibility to create a different message for users who are signing up for an account on Hub vs. OSAF Bundle? (For a future release, but probably not for preview?) + Is it possible once the user verifies their e-mail they can be logged into the Hub account automatically?

This way users who want to sign up for a Chandler Hub account, but for other calendar clients, it would be a one click to verify e- mail and 'Subscribe with…' drop down list then select the appropriate calendar client.

(PS- A shout out to bcm-please be patient with the chandler this and chandler that product naming, I will, in time, aspire to be better at sending these emails out to be less formal/confusing.)
