New Threads:

Priscilla posted a last call on the proposal for handling Cosmo bug #7633 - Moving event lozenge on calendar canvas mid-edit loses edits in detail view.
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-April/006924.html
+ When the user is editing an edit and then moves to another one, they will be prompted to save their changes with a dialog...
+ Save Changes? [Cancel][Discard][Save]

Priscilla sent out an email re: Cosmo bug 7868 - The way we disable timezones for all-day and multi-day events seems broken.
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-April/006925.html
+ When you create an all-day and multi-day event in the anytime area, you can't actually set a timezone but the drop-down appears. If you click on it, nothing happens. It doesn't look disabled ie: light grey, it looks like any other field. + We are still resolving whether there is simply a bug and the field doesn't look disabled (seems to work on other browsers), or it we should remove the field entirely.

Morgen sent out a request to bring back the ability to specify a default sharing account in the accounts dialog - Specifying the default sharing account
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-April/006936.html
+ Basically, we removed the ability to specify a default account for sharing. We use the Chandler Sharing Account as the default but in Morgen's case, he creates additional accounts and wanted to use one of those. If you add a new one and don't fill in the one we create out of the box, you can't share anything - you get prompted to fill in the account details. Basically because we used to use default accounts, the sharing layer still does but we don't have this in the UI anymore. + So we have to make some fix, either to change the sharing stuff or add back in the ability to select a default in the UI. + We use the notion of default beyond the accounts dialog, both the publish dialog and the sharing code uses this. + Brian K commented that we already do the work to avoid this issue with the email accounts. We check for the OOTB default account and if it's not filled in, we use another one. + Basically, Morgen is going to make the change to have the sharing code work similarly to the way Brian handled this for email.

Based on what we have seen so far in the desktop, Mimi made some changes to Improve communication status icons.
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-April/006946.html
+ Mimi has committed these changes to try out on dogfooders. She has also made associated changes to the dashboard icons and explained some of the rational for making these changes.

In response to a suggestion that Mimi made in another thread, Priscilla sent out a separate Cosmo email for Add 'log in' on ticket view
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-April/006956.html
+ Priscilla spec'd out the specific UI in more detail.

Continued Discussions:

Discussion continued on the Cosmo thread - Using the Account Browser to restore a lost Chandler repo.
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-April/006894.html
+ Basically this thread discusses the issue of what to call the current [pim] link in the account browser for Chandler users to get the ticket url. This is not critical to change for Preview and as of today and the proposal is to let it stay as is.

Priscilla sent out a last call on Cosmo bug #8130 - Making an all day event no longer all day makes it an any-time event
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-April/006930.html
+ Basically we are going to keep the current behavior for Preview (which is consistent with the desktop). When you uncheck an all-day event, it stays in the all-day area and becomes an anytime event.

Some further conversation on the Cosmo issue - account setup information in signup dialog possibly incorrect or in need of reorganization.
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-April/006929.html
+ Priscilla is trying to get us to close on the changes that need to be made to the sign up screens taking into account users who are not using Chandler Desktop as a client. + Mimi and Priscilla also agreed on using instructional messages that reference Chandler Hub rather than Chandler Server. Users will be coming at this from the perspective of the Hub.
+ Priscilla provided a sketch of the specific UI she has in mind.

Mimi replied to an old Cosmo thread - Sign up for an account + adding the currently viewed collection
http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2007-April/006955.html
+ Mimi suggested that we add in a link to "log in" in the ticket view.
