They are used for a hidden feature that I was just about to remove: you could hold down "alt" while clicking the Triage button, and all items in the displayed collection would be autotriaged. (I put this in for Philippe, but as far as I know, no one ever uses it; since it complicates the logic, I'd removed it in r14929 (which also included the progress box when triaging lots of stuff, bug 8785) -- however, I reverted that commit in r14936 to eliminate my change as a cause of Friday's tinderbox breakage.

I moved over the weekend, and got DSL working again just now... but it looks like it's too late for me to commit message fixes (and the progress box added a few messages), so I'm not sure whether this change should be put back or not. I'll ask tomorrow.
