Hi Folks,

In r15443, I checked in an update to quick entry, based on work done by
our Summer of Code intern Phil Jones. Under the hood, this changed the
way quick entry works, now any plugin can create a new quick entry
command. I also added a few features/bug fixes:

- After a command is entered (say, /task /event call Jim tomorrow at
noon), focus stays in the quick entry area, so you can hopefully
*quickly* enter several new items

- The escape key now clears the quick entry field

- New items are always created in the current collection, even if they
aren't visible with the current filter

- You can use /t, or /ta, or /tas, or /task for the task command, the
same goes for any other command

- Soon, you should be able to download Vera Sheinman's report plug-in if
you're interested in creating reports on what changes have been made to
items (this was waiting on having me check in Phil Jones' work)

If you're using Chandler from SVN, you'll need to run make after you
upgrade to use the new quick entry system.

---------------------------

Now that the architecture has changed, it would be very easy to have
commands:

- Be listed in a drop down from the quick entry area (we could show the
drop down when / was pressed, perhaps)

- We could associate help text with individual commands, perhaps shown
beside the command in a drop down

I'm not going to prioritize these features now, but if you're interested
in them, please say so!

Sincerely,
Jeffrey
