/me shrugs. Perhaps I'm biased due to too much use of MS Access. You can edit values in its table view all you want, but until you manually refresh, the items displayed and the order don't change. Heck, even changes made by other people don't affect the order or displayed items until you refresh.
In other words, I'm used to seeing the state of "field contents" as being a distinct part of the model from "the list and order of displayed items".
Anyway, my point was that there exists precedent for using the word "refresh" to mean "update the listed items' order and presence to reflect changes in their values".
