This reminds me: the preview of iGTD2[1] talks about using tabs to
represent something very similar to this. One significant difference,
AFAICT, is that its tabs also include filters like "within the next
week", but I think its UI approach could work well for Chandler, too.

Not sure if this is technically feasible, but what would be nice in addition
would be to specify the scope of the saved view: opening a saved view would
give you the attributes already listed and optionally move to a specific
(relative) date. So you could set up a saved view called 'Review', which
might show 3 weeks starting 7 days ago.
