Hi Sebastien,
Comment:
Thanks for your bug. Is there any gnome-volume-control slider acting on
that volume?
Did you try all the options for it?
There are playback and capture sliders for the Mic control located on their
respective tabs. They work ok but I did notice that if volume is changed in a
different mixer it won't show in gnome-volume-control until the gui is
refreshed. This differs from other mixers where the change shows dynamically.
As far as I can tell the switches beneath the sliders for playback and capture
work ok.
What appears to be missing from gnome-volume-control is the Mic Boost control.
When I was setting up Ekiga on my system I had to turn Mic Boost on using
amixer. I checked all the options in preferences so that all the possible
controls were displayed in gnome-volume-control and there wasn't one for Mic
Boost. It would be nice to have a Mic Boost with playback and capture switches.
It's not a big deal for me because I can make the change in amixer. Asking my
clients to adjust it this way can be a problem however since many would find it
too confusing.
