Ok, I can confirm this bug. But choosing always the address part won't work as
there is nothing that resolves the .local address by default. you have to
install libnss-mdns for this.
avahi has a function to check whether the system is able resolve .local
hostnames but this is most probably not implemented in gnome-vfs (which
epiphany uses for dns service discovery)
