Okay, I downloaded the source code: "~/Desktop/ $ apt-get source gnome-cups-manager"
It gave me what an "original" pacakge, plus a patch, and supposedly applied the patch, then put the final source code in a folder, ready for me to start working on. So I spot what looks to me like the interesting file: /gnome-cups-add/add-printer.c Problem: unless I am blind (maybe), I can't for the life of me see any sign of this "Reading database" message ! And if I look at the glade file, it shows the old two step wizard, there isn't the third step where the printer name is added ! :-O So looks like the source code doesn't quite match the binary pacakge that's presently running on my Dapper machine... so I am stuck :o( Help... -- [Dapper] "Reading Database" message window: considerations https://launchpad.net/bugs/44458 -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
