Oh dear, that's confusing. I don't understand why "apt-get source" did'nt give me the source code of the binary package ? It gave a diff file, and pretended it was applied, and now you are saying that there yet OTHER patches/changes that have not been applied ? How do I patch (again) the source with these debian changes ? When that is done, will it *at last* give me the source code that *really* corresponds to the the binary package ?? Until I have the proper source code, how am I supposed to make a patch ? By patching the debian patch ?! I thought patches applied to the source code, not to other patches... This all sounds very confusing and complicated to me :-( Maybe I should fle a bug report against apt-get or Ubuntu : "Apt-get source does NOT give you the actual source code of the corresonping binary package !" :o((((((( Looks like I will have to give up making this (any) patch, it's really so confusing so far :o( -- [Dapper] "Reading Database" message window: considerations https://launchpad.net/bugs/44458 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
