I am running Ubuntu 8.10 fully updated to 11/03/08.

When I open "Main Menu" to edit the menu I find there are multiple
entries for some applications. An example would be Brasero, there was 4
or 5 entries for it. Some of the entries had different descriptions and
only the one that actually shows in the menu is check marked. Had I not
gone in to "Main Menu" to clean up a few things I would have never
noticed this bug. I removed all of the extra un-needed entries from the
menu with no problems. There were 3 or 4 applications that I had to do
this for. I apologize for not knowing what package to list this bug
under. This is a minor issue but I thought it should be reported.

** Affects: gnome-desktop (Ubuntu)
