Sebastian, Thanks for responding, but your news about Totem means that movie viewing is a major feature missing. Ubuntu Linux displays it in it s menus as Movie Player. If that is not true, then it should be removed from Ubuntu until DVD functionality is provided. This also means that there is nothing that I can use to access my DVD player on Linux. If you ask me, I am not thrilled with Linux at all. Most of the video functionality is missing on Linux. Audo is almost as bad. I am almost ready to put back Windows again. At least audio and video worked properly with Windows.
