I too have reinstalled, I've made sure the password was in the keyring, I've changed settings...nothing. It's annoying to no end. Every time Evolution goes out to check for mail it prompts for the password. I put it in...sometimes it works - other times I get the message: Unable to connect to POP server pop.yourmailserver.net. Error sending password: -ERR [IN-USE] account is locked by another session for maintenance, try again. I didn't have this problem when I installed the Intrepid/Ibex version - it just worked.
