I can also confirm what I would guess to be a similar problem in an HP Pavilion dv5 1235dx laptop.
However, in my situation, I've noticed that the behavior is different depending on how the settings are set in Power Management: If I set 'AC Power' to standby when the lid is closed, it will do so, regardless of whether the laptop is on AC power or on battery, and also regardless of whether I set the Battery settings to only go to Blank Screen, and if I change the same setting in the AC Power tab to say "blank screen," that will also work for both AC or Battery. I guess what I'm saying is Power Management doesn't seem to care about the Battery settings at all, even if the settings are different between the two tabs. I hope this is clear and I hope it can put some insight into this issue. -- suspend when closing laptop lid doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/44058 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
