Ok... after an upgrade to Karmic (my previous post related to Karmic
LiveCD) , my HP Pavilion dv4000's power management became completely
psychotic... AC disconnect sends it into suspend; lid closure by itself
doesn't, but close + open the lid and press any key -- we go into
suspend; after resume on opening the lid, laptop immediately goes into
suspend again, and will repeat this cycle unless you bring it out of
suspend by pressing the power button... will try to tinker a bit more.

Could this actually be a hardware issue? Key codes different somehow? (I
see a lot of HP users are affected...) I know for a fact that power
management CAN work on this machine (it used to host an XP, you know...)

Sorry for using this partially as a forum: if somebody knows a good
howto on finetuning the ACPI, pm-utils, etc., I'd appreciate a link...

Alex
