This bug still exist in Maverick. And, beside GNOME Power Manager, I think there are some other packages related to this bug. Please see my explanation below:
When I press "lower brightness" / "higher brighness" buttons on my laptop, Ubuntu will display the brightness status. This also mean that Ubuntu is able to detect that I am pressing the "lower brightness" / "higher brighness" buttons. So, I suspect that there are components in Ubuntu be able to detect that I am pressing those buttons, but those components never update the GNOME Power Manager setting. Do anybody know which Ubuntu components / packages that will detect the pressing of hot keys? -- Ubuntu not save brightness. The 'lower brightness' button on my netbook / laptop does not change gnome-power-manager setting. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/604876 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
