Ubuntu is able to detect that the brightness has been reduced, but the
GNOME Power Manager's configuration was not updated. That caused the
brightness to be reset to 100% which is the brightness setting in GNOME
Power Manager.

Again, the bug still exist in Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick.
