I confirm the bug on Ubuntu 18.04 + Gnome-Shell It appears only after a locked screen, not at startup. When I type my password to unlock, the first time always fails. The second it OK.
If I type any character, then delete all with backspace and retype the password, it is OK at the first time. It seems as it has an invisible character by default. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1765261 Title: [regression] Ubuntu 18.04 login screen rejects a valid password on first attempt.
