Perhaps I over-thought that. Since you actually get some frames on
screen and they're just slow, I think the real issue is bug 1970291:

> Secondary GPU initialization failed (Failed to create gbm_surface:
Function not implemented). Falling back to GPU-less mode instead, so the
secondary monitor may be slow to update.

As for the flooded log, that's bug 1967707. But it sounds like that
flood of log messages for you was actually from a different time (bug
2026789) where the screen froze instead of being just slow.
