Hi Daniel, To be absolutely clear: the crashes I described (Thunderbird, Remmina, and printing to PDF) all started on a completely clean, stock Ubuntu 26.04 installation (default GNOME/Wayland session).
My transition to i3wm/LightDM was only a troubleshooting attempt to see if a different environment would be more stable. However, the crashes remained identical. The only thing that actually fixed the issue was switching from the 7.x kernel back to 6.17. If it helps your investigation, I can reboot into the stock GNOME session on the 7.x kernel, let it crash again, and provide fresh logs from that completely 'standard' environment. Please let me know if you want me to do this.
