Oh you're right. It seems I was misled by a badly designed error message. It should say "Ubuntu extensions", not "Ubuntu settings".
Looking at the Settings source code it seems to depend on these extensions having reachable settings: Ubuntu Dock Desktop Icons NG Tiling Assistant So in that case I would try this as a solution: sudo apt install --reinstall gnome-shell-ubuntu-extensions -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2077969 Title: Settings > Ubuntu Desktop > "No Ubuntu settings found" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/2077969/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
