It's slightly confusing the game would call it "Windowed (Fullscreen)" because windowed and fullscreen are usually mutually exclusive.
Some googling suggests there is a pure "Fullscreen" mode so I think that might work better. Any "Windowed" mode would/should still have a top panel. But it also depends how much the compositor is trying to emulate old X11 fullscreen behaviour without setting _NET_WM_STATE_FULLSCREEN. That's probably what "Windowed (Fullscreen)" means so I don't think it's a bug if the top bar remains in that mode. Different compositors will have different approaches. To check if the game is going fullscreen correctly you can open a terminal and run: xprop _NET_WM_STATE then click on the fullscreen window. It should mention "_NET_WM_STATE_FULLSCREEN". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2160446 Title: GNOME top bar remains visible for XWayland borderless fullscreen games on Wayland (World of Warcraft / Lutris) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2160446/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
