GVFS is a great thing, but it wasn't developed with this feature in mind.
Extensible code is good precisely for this kind of thing; even though
you didn't plan to support something specifically, you end up enabling
the pathway for that.
The way I see it GNOME development team is doing a great job with the
building blocks (libraries, frameworks, etc.) But the front-end
details need more love.
