It's possible that you are running into this due to the integration of
"Secure by Default"
(http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/on/flag-days/pages/2006060101/),
which disabled several services or disabled their network listener by
default.  The X server is one of those services.

If you want to open those services back up to the network use

    # /usr/sbin/netservices open

If you just want to open up the X server you can set the "tcp_listen"
option for the svc:/application/x11/x11-server service to "true" with

    # svccfg -s svc:/application/x11/x11-server setprop
options/tcp_listen = boolean: true
