Heya,
This one is a little less on the glamorous side of things, and a
noticeable amount of copy and paste.
The software does exist - really it does! :)

Accomplishments
===============
Technical
o All continued to work on porting JDS to GNOME 2.12 packages
o Dermot testing new Sun Studio compiler with GNOME build
o Brian, Laca and Glynn attended an ARC call with Brian presenting
plans for working with the community on stable GNOME interfaces
o Damien and Laca working on the build environment for JDS
o Glynn reasserted the need for g11n to port their patches upstream,
and work up there, rather than continually creating unmaintainable
local patches.
o Shane working on a story board for the JDS bug process on
opensolaris.org
Project Management
o Matt and Glynn sat down with QA to discuss the bug metrics of what
we could export out onto opensolaris.org. From 240+ subcategories
internally, we plan to move to 40 subcategories, sanitizing the QA
experience
going forward. Long term, all new bugs will be logged in those
subcategories
and we will investigate any mechanism to start EOL'ing the other
subcategories. As part of the discussion we mentioned the possibility
of moving gnome out of it's own component, and into 'jds'
product=jds,category=[gnome,mozilla,...]
This needs more discussion.
o Glynn continuing working on consolidation checklist - currently
writing up the export control forms for GNOME 2.10. Jay is working
on export control forms for Firefox and Thunderbird.
Social
o All continue to monitor and contribute to threads on desktop-discuss,
opensolaris-discuss, and others.
