If you using a intel/amd cpu machine you could as root install gamin 
using commands -
  cd /tmp
  wget -O - 
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/xfce/files/SUNWgamin.tar.bz2 | 
/usr/sfw/bin/gtar fxj -
  pkgadd -d . SUNWgamin SUNWgamin-devel
