It requires a lot of engineering and legal due diligence to separate the stuff you own (and thus are able to open-source) and the stuff you licensed yourself. So if there is no strong demand for yet another open-source desktop to create even more friction and fraction in the open source community we might want to concentrate on what's already out there :-) just my 2 cents Christof
