Well.. sounds as if JDK 1.6 does not solves the problem in any cases...
I just did a test on a DELL optiflex GX280 with a french keyboard. I downloaded
JDK 1.6, and still have troubles with generic keyboards... As I remaped the
/usr/java link to my ..../jdk1.6 anything should be fine when I run jdk1.6
notepad jfc demo. In fact, I loose all {[]}#, etc... again when using a default
keyboard (working fine under Xorg).
On the other hand, even if having a french kbd, this computer have a en_us
locale. Could this be a case where that bug appears again ?
