That would be done for you if you just put them into /tmp instead of
/var/tmp.   (Which is one common workaround - setting TMPDIR=/tmp in
.dtprofile.)

PSARC is currently discussing a case for the rmtmpfiles service
wondering if anyone needs a service for clearing /var/tmp at boot.
