I've tried to install the latest JDS desktop. It was said that I should have at least build 34.I have -bash-3.00# uname -a SunOS snv24 5.11 opensol-20060417 i86pc i386 i86pc (snv24 is just a hostname)
I ran install-jds script with -f -i options as there were some errors with installing/deinstalling some packages. After installation I rebooted, but jds failed to start. It seems to start( screen goes grey,hour-glass appears instead of cursor),but then(after few seconds) it resets back to login screen. I tried to launch gdm manually but got the same result as from login screen. If I try to launch some gnome application from cde or xdm I get: bash-3.00$ gaim ld.so.1: gaim: fatal: relocation error: file /usr/lib/libpango-1.0.so.0: symbol g_slice_alloc: referenced symbol not found Killed or bash-3.00$ gcalctool ld.so.1: gcalctool: fatal: relocation error: file /usr/lib/libgnomevfs-2.so.0: symbol g_thread_pool_set_sort_function: referenced symbol not found Killed What's wrong? And where are jds/gnome log files located so I can see the exact error? This message posted from opensolaris.org
