I am not sure. Cut/Copy/Paste support for Solaris is integrated into the
source code of gtk. It is not defined by some kind of configuration
files. So I do not understand what happened to your system so that they
do not work any more.

Did you tried using /usr/X11/bin/xev to test if proper X events are
generated?
