Updates from Gwibber is also shown on Facebook. So the problem is clear, the Gwibber account setup does not show that the account has been authorised, even though it has. It only creates the illusion that it is not working, which would probably confuse users.
Charl -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gwibber in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/968283 Title: Cannot add Facebook, get stuck on verifying Status in “gwibber” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: When I try to add my Facebook account, Gwibber gets stuck on "verifying...". When I stop it, no Facebook entry was created. On my third try the Facebook account was created, but it still requires authorisation. When I click on "Authorise" it gets stuck on "veryifying..." again. Gwibber does not hang or become unresponsive and I can close the window at any time. Other than that I'm experiencing no issues. Gwibber did accepted my Twitter account and appears to be downloading tweets on this account.
