I can't reproduce this on any of my machines. Could it be related so
something you've customized?

Please give steps to reproduce this with a fresh Ubuntu installation.
Thanks!

Title:
workspace briefly shown on user input when screensaver and lock active

Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I have noticed this as a problem in the last several releases,
including 12.04 When returning to a machine in a locked (screensaver)
state, any user input (mouse, keyboard) causes the active workspace to
be shown briefly, even allowing interaction before the screen returns
to the screensaver login page where the password is required to get
back to the active session. Seems like a security problem, since
there is a brief window for mischief. Thanks.

This happens on all my Ubuntu my Desktop machines.
