This is not a bug. NetworkManager is meant to ignore interfaces
configured in /etc/network/interfaces.

To use NetworkManager to manager eth0; simply drop these lines from
/etc/network/interfaces:

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

Title:
Unmanaged Device found; state CONNECTED forced.(wired)

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Precise i386 logged as gnome-classic

on boot im seeing messages like:
  - trying to connect
  - waiting 60 more seconds to ...

This is with the latest network-manager package, thinking it was fixed now,
but dont (have previously switched to wicd which works without trouble at all).
So im wondering about the dnsmasq introduced with resolvconf, or some races
conflicts with ureadahead/apparmor.

Finally, after this 60 more seconds elapsed, booting continue, but its
kind of show stopper for an LTS.

  Log attached below.
