Title:
Newly opened apps overlap launcher and hide it (themes with window
  border>1px)

Status in Unity:
  Invalid
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: unity

After selecting a theme other than Ambiance from Appearance
Preferences (such as Clearlooks, in the gnome-themes-selected
package), newly launched applications end up opening a tiny bit
farther to left, because of the slightly wider window border, so that
they overlap the Unity launcher panel by a few pixels. This triggers
the launcher panel to autohide itself every time an application is
  launched.
