Title:
Network Manager keyring access prompt prevents screensaver launch
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
On boot into gnome, NM starts and prompts for a keyring password in
order to access a previously connected wireless network. This prompt
prevents the screensaver from launching. It has repeatedly happened
that I will boot my computer, walk away, and come back to this prompt,
type in the password (or hit cancel) and as soon as the dialog closes
the screensaver then launches.
I believe the correct action would be the screensaver launching
whenever it is scheduled to, and leave the prompt in the background.
