Title:
Not able to reconnect to infrastucture Wi-Fi after disconnecting from
ad-hoc Wi-Fi network -- Broadcom BCM4322 wl, ssb
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
Steps to reproduce.
1. Create an Ad Hoc network (say ad-hoc-network SSID) and connect to it.
(Successfully connected and works with my iPhone)
2. I go to the network manager applet and select another infrastructure (say
infra-wifi) network and try to connect to it. (Does not connect, asks for the
password again though my password is auto filled in the dialog box and correct)
3. I go to the network manager applet and disable wireless network. It shows
me "disconnected from ad-hoc-network" which it already displayed when I
selected the infra-wifi.
4. I go to the network-manager applet and enable wireless network.
5. Select infra-wifi, it connects now.
In my /var/log/syslog I get this when I do the step 2:
Feb 23 13:35:25 enjoyexplain-lm wpa_supplicant[1100]: CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED

looks like its not able to findout the configuration for infra-wifi
after I disconnected from ad-hoc-network.
