compiz froze and crashed while using dash

Bug description:
I'm sorry if this bug report seems messy, but I'm still new to this
process...
This happened several times:
While using the Dash to look for apps or files, it randomly freezes for a few
seconds, then crashes (launcher and top panel disappear). Apport comes up
asking me if I want to file a bug and relaunch compiz.
