thanks for the bug report. Is that still an issue in Ubuntu 12.04?
Please make sure that nautilus is running and also desktop icons are not
disabled.

Title:
Artefacts when minimizing Firefox (and Thunderbird) in launcher
Status in Unity:
Incomplete
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
On Natty Beta 2 with fresh updates, when minimizing Firefox and
Thunderbird to Unity launcher, there is some strange graphical
artifacts (lines appearing briefly in the minimizing animation) that
are not present when minimizing a regular Gtk application. Actually,
I'm experiencing this issue since my initial Natty Alpha 2
installation.
Now, I guess it remains to see if this issue could be related to some
specific graphic card/driver. In my case, I'm using the Ubuntu out of
the box non-proprietary driver with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 card
on a Dell Inspiron 1440 laptop.
Thanks.
