I am on 10.04 LTS and I can confirm this bug.  I can also confirm that
installing gvfs-backend works.  If any body needs debugging info let me
know.

  Maverick: Unable to mount audio disc

Status in “gvfs” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gvfs

  When inserting an Audio-CD the following message appears:

  "Unable to mount Audio Disc

  Location is not mountable"

  The Disc is shown in Nautilus, when clicking on it via "Places", the
  same error message shows up. Rhythmbox isn't showing the disc at all.

  If there is more output needed, please tell me.
