K3b apparently closes the DVD even when "start multisession" was
selected in the misc tab. Confirmed this by putting the DVD in a
different machine and attempting to append with a different program. A
little bit disappointing as multisession CD-RW worked OK (what's the
difference between multisession on a DVD and a CD-RW?) This in up-to-
date Ubuntu 12.04.

Title:
Brasero "leave disk open" not available

Status in A disc burning application for gnome 2:
  New
Status in “brasero” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: brasero

having inserted a blank CD the option "leave the disk open" is grayed out, so
after burning the CD will be fixed (no further multisession possible). Using a
multisession CD, further multisession is offered, but the former contents of
the CD are grayed out after having imported and trying to burn ends in error
messages.
