Title:
My Sierra Wireless Compass 888 GSM broad-band modem doesn't work in
Network-Manager
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
I was able to get it set up properly in network-manager but even
though I am sure that I set it up properly, it won't connect. I was
thinking that this may have been caused by ubuntu using a very old and
outdated driver (see modinfo sierra). The most recent is v1.7.12 so I
updated that and double checked with modinfo that it was properly
updated. That only made matters worse for network-manager: My option
to connect disappeared from the list. So please, update this driver
and get things up to speed with this modem; it is very popular dongle,
at least here in Israel it is.
