Title:
rtl8187 cannot connect to WPA2-PSK
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
Release: Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic
Package version: 0.8~a~git.20091013t193206.679d548-0ubuntu1
Connection quality to my access point has been flaky ever since I
moved to Karmic (I first tried upgrading from Jaunty, but am now
running a clean install of Karmic). Usually a reboot of the computer
will fix the issue and the wireless will connect upon startup. Now,
even that doesn't work reliably. Only after a third reboot this
morning was I able to connect. I have tried recreating the connection
profile and bouncing the AP (Linksys router), neither of which worked.
My laptop, running 9.04 Jaunty, can connect to the AP just fine using
the same parameters.
