Title:
NM connects with modem first time, but second time enters infinite
  loop -- Huawei E160

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: network-manager

I'm using karmic together with a Huawei E160 USB UMTS Modem.
Everything works fine, at least for the first connection established
  through network-manager.

When I close the connection and try to dial up a second time, the
NetworkManager process goes into an infinite loop filling up
/var/log/syslog with thousands of 'device state changed messages'.
  (See attachments).

Any advice/fix for this bug is kindly appreciated.

    Best regards,

      Wolfgang
