Title:
Internet connection problems with Ubuntu 12.04

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I had to go back to using Ubuntu 11.10 because I was was having a lot
of problems connecting to the Internet with Ubuntu 12.04, occasionally
I could connect and get to a web site but most of the time it would
not connect at all to my high speed internet and the problem existed
using both a wired or wireless connection. I am having no problem with
11.10 so is there a problem with a driver in 12.04 that could be
causing this problem? My Ethernet card is an Intel Corporation
82557/8/9/01 Ethernet Pro 100 (rev 08) and the wireless adapter I was
using is an Encore N150 which also works OK under 11.10 but not under
  12.04.
