hp dv6000 running ubuntu 12.04.
new linux user.
conexant hda-chip. unknown model.
please please help
my friend reformatted my computer for me and installed ubuntu 12.04.
which is great. but the issue i was having before is still occuring. i
need sound, but apparently the computer is not recognizing the sound
card. i don't know what drivers to download and install for this
computer on ubuntu. nor where to find them. it says dummy output in
the "play sound through box" where the devices should be. the internal
speakers, headphone output, showed up at one point and did work but
when i rebooted it was gone.
