Title:
<video> tag only works for relative URLs with webm
Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
This works (video plays):
<html>
<head></head>
<body>
<video width="420" height="236" controls="controls"
src="DM3-NFF2012-Dream.webm">
Your browser does not support the video tag.
</video>
</body>
</html>
but this does not ("Video format or MIME type is not supported."):
<html>
<head></head>
<body>
<video width="420" height="236" controls="controls"
src="http://www.ekran.org/ben/video/DM3-NFF2012-Dream.webm">
Your browser does not support the video tag.
</video>
</body>
</html>
It's the same file.
If the problem is network access to that file, then typing the URL
into firefox should not work (it does), also if there is some network
issue the message should not reference a codec/mime issue.
