Mathieu and I discussed this yesterday, and we think this does not require new icons after all, just some renaming.
Step 1: In ubuntu-mono, rename nm-device-wired to nm-device-wired-panel, rename nm-device-wireless to nm-device-wireless-panel, rename nm-device- wwan to nm-device-wwan-panel, and so on. Step 2: In network-manager-applet, change the menu (but *not* the Connections window) to use the -panel icons. Step 3: There is no step 3. The Connections window begins using colored icons from Humanity/Hicolor, like the Sound settings pane does. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager-applet in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/834495 Title: Edit Connections tabs have wrong-color mono icons Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in “ubuntu-mono” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Click Edit Connections in the network menu. The tabs use the ubuntu- mono icons except that the background is light so the icons are hard to distinguish on Ambiance. Either the icons should be over-ridden to always show dark icons (ubuntu-mono-light) or the icons should just be disabled.
