I am using Ubuntu 12.04 and had this same problem. I fiexd it by using
Chrome to open the pdf document and print 2 pages in the same sheet.

Hope to have helped.

Title:
gs crashed with SIGSEGV in gx_pattern_accum_alloc()

Status in “ghostscript” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ghostscript

I am using karmic with all updates installed, trying to print 4 PDF
files from within Document Viewer on a printer that was disconnected
during the time I submitted the jobs. (jobs went into the print queue,
then I turned the printer on) The result was horrible: I got a couple
of pages that looked like barcodes. The printer I was trying to print
to is a HP Laserjet 4000.
